about

'If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite.' ~ William Blake

dub: a version of.
spectrum: the entire range.

dub spectrum is a creative unity developed by Christopher Sharp. Although coming from a fine art background (attaining a bachelor’s in Contemporary Arts from The Nottingham Trent University and an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins), he considers himself primarily a writer interested in different methods of poetry and storytelling alongside the potential of photography as a literary medium. He hopes to exhibit a series of embodied poetry in 2027.

Christopher also writes poetry and fiction under a pseudonym, Percival Alexander, largely exploring themes of despair and transformation in a fragmented world. Extracts from his debut novel Adrift in Amnesia can be found here. Details of his first book of poetry The Cycle Diaries can be found here. He is currently working on his second novel – a fairy tale adventure about two lovable cats in search of a new home – and may share some posts of its development.

You can read more about Christopher’s dub spectrum journey here. He has also written some thoughts on the arts in an era of accelerated change, amid mind-numbing cultural homogeneity, in contemplation #1 and #2.
