Being a Dartmoor lad, DJ Fingle is basically a nod to a much loved area of the River Teign near to where I grew up, plus it’s taken from the old English word ‘fang’ (meaning ‘to catch’) which is a reference to catching fish, and I like how this relates to DJs crate-digging for records in the hope of finding something new and unique beneath the surface. I also love the idea of a record being transformed into a temporal component, forming an interchangeable part of an instrument, creating something new and unique via the continuous DJ mix.
