Marrakech to Porto (sketches)

‘Out of unconditioned emptiness
comes this planet with all its qualities.’  ~ Rumi (Soul Houses)

01/04/18 – 31/05/18, I travelled Morocco, Spain and Portugal.  I took a sketchbook and some graphite pencils with me and below can be found a collection of all the drawings from my trip.  Morocco was particularly interesting, as I found myself attracting quite a lot of attention from curious locals while sat scribbling away.  I also briefly found myself becoming something of an attraction in Cordoba while drawing one of its bridges – looked up from my pad to see a Japanese tourist photographing me work!  I felt particularly drawn to the mountainous and coastal regions of each country and the spiritual vibe it seemed to exude.  Photographs of various places visited can also be viewed below.
